2011-2012 Calendar and Schedule
Our full calendar is online on our band website – http://pantherband.net.
The calendar and schedule is a “living” document. It is updated constantly as information becomes available and times
and locations may change.
Printing the full calendar here would be redundant, but below is a listing of some important rehearsal and performance
dates.
Once again, the calendar online is the “official” calendar, and should be referred to often.
Rehearsals – every Tuesday and Thursday evening from August 30, 2011 to October 27, 2011. Rehearsals
run from 6 until 9 PM. Sectionals may be run beginning at 5 PM.
Performances – the band performs at all Varsity football games, both home and away. Please see the online
calendar.
Competitions – the band typically does one or two weekend competitions each week, this season from
September 10 through October 29.
Championships – the band will compete at the Tournament of Bands Championships as listed on 10/22, 10/23
and 10/29. These performances are MANDATORY for all members.
Please note:
All games (regular and playoff), competitions, and parades, including the Thanksgiving game and Holiday Parade are
a part of our regular schedule, as listed on the online calendar. As a member of the marching band, you are required
to attend. Playoff games may be added as scheduled by the football conference, etc.
See attendance policy.
Last minute excuses for the Thanksgiving game and Holiday Parade will not be considered excused absences!
Unexcused absences, including Thanksgiving and/or the Holiday Parade may result in loss of membership in the
program and the forfeit of awards and booster scholarships.
Report times and return times for game and competition days will be announced the week of the event. These are
determined by performance times and award times. All return times will be best estimates.
In the spirit of wanting to give our best performances at each show, the band may have a rehearsal prior to departure
for a competition. All rehearsal policies will be in effect during these rehearsals. Plan your schedule accordingly.
